2011 goals + Facebook

I tend to update my facebook page more than my blog, something I want to change in 2011. Can you tell I’m writing a list of goals?!

I might as well tell you a few more:

  • Buy a 24-70 2.8 lens
  • Update my website design
  • Book 10 + weddings (I’m only a few away!)
  • Blog more (told you it’s on the list)
  • Trade in old unused equipment – AKA organize studio
  • Cut work-flow time in 1/2 with new computer programs

So that’s a small taste of my 2011 goals. What are yours?

Also if you want to keep in closer touch, view photos faster, and hear about random details check out my facebook page. Be sure to “like” the page to receive updates.

I’d love to have 150 fans by Valentines day. Maybe I should put that on the list too …

Merry Christmas

My sister took this self portrait of herself and my dog Elssa. I just love the christmas feel to it!

So from me to you … Merry Christmas!!

Snowed into a Wedding

I went to visit my good friend Abby of Studio A Photoin Detroit lakes a few weeks ago. Well, most of you know how crazy the weather has been and I ended up getting snowed in for the weekend. She had a wedding on Saturday and since I travel with my camera I went along and 2nd shot for her! It was SUPER fun! I really enjoyed having a chance to try new settings on the camera in a no pressure situation, reconnecting to the joy of shooting.

Abby and I have been friends for many years, and have grown our businesses together, encouraged each other, taught each other, and now for the first time we got to work together. It was fabulous!!

I’ve only edited a few as time has been an issue for me, so you’ll see more from this wedding as the winter progresses. Also be sure to check out Abby’s website and facebook to see her images!

Anne + Gregory

I’ve fallen a bit behind in my blogging the last few weeks. I blame the basement! To update you on that situation we have the walls up, and are furiously painting before the carpet arrives this week. Hopefully within two weeks we will have the majority of the ‘big’ items done. However moving in will take a few months as we need to go through everything in the garage, build shelves for the pantry and bookcases etc before all these things can be put away. I think we will be lucky to get back to normal before spring!!

But you didn’t come to the blog to read about vandalism recovery, you came to look at photos!:)

Anne and Gregory were an adorable couple who braved the cold late in November. I was bundled up in a warm coat but was still chilly so I can’t imagine how cold they were! I did suggest a little dancing (they met at a swing dancing event) to warm up! I think all the snuggling helped a little too.;)

You’ll be seeing Anne and Gregory again soon as their wedding is in February! Can’t wait!

Stacey and Tom | West Fargo Wedding

I just love being a wedding photographer in Fargo! There are so many great opportunities here that I didn’t have in a small town of 1,000 people. Winter can be challenging in North Dakota, but I like a challenge. It keeps me on my toes. Which keeps me warm. ; )

I just love this first image. So much emotion!

I like the architecutre in the shot below:

Getting ready for the ceremony to start:

Now for Christmas break, and then another Wedding in February at the NDSU Alumni Center. Can’t wait! The photos are going to be fantastic!

March of dimes | Bowls for Babies

I was lucky enough to cover this event for Area Woman Magazine yesterday.  Lots of fun details: bowls, soup, chefs, people, kids. I wish I could post them but I can only share this photo that didn’t make the cut. To see the best photos pick up a copy of next month’s magazine!!!
